Xmas Party Panic

Every year, an unspoken panic hits office managers and executive assistants around mid-November. This is when many realize that the party is just weeks away and the premium dates at local venues are entirely booked. What is left is caterers offering the same uninspiring, cold finger-sandwiches or dry turkey buffets at inflated prices.

When it comes to Christmas parties, waiting until November means settling for less and paying more.

That’s is why forward-thinking managers are locking in their plans before Halloween. They are the ones that manage to secure premium dates (Thursdays and Fridays in December are the gold dust of the corporate calendar), that build the funniest and most successful parties (not another formal three-course dinner, please!), and that are able to accomodate all sorts of dietary requirements (that cannot be arranged the last minute!).

So what shall you do now, if you haven’t booked a party yet?

Be professional. Nobody wants to deal with madness at this time. So don’t panic and wear your positive attitude hat, because everything will be ok.

Revise the numbers (what is the budget, how many people will be there) and define what type of event you need to arrange (standing, networking, sitting & served, dancing, gaming…).

Run a quick web/AI search of the venues that fit the request and send them a short but detailed email. Avoid vague requests at all costs: popular venues already receive hundreds of requests and they will disregard any potential time-wasters.

And what can you do if all the prime resturant/pubs are gone?

Think laterally. Search a venue that you can hire, like a hall or a party room. In the meantime, find a caterer that you can trust: most catering professionals can supply everything from tables, to food, to music.

If still unsure call The Coffee Room (07760108896): We can provide affordable and versatile food and drinks for the modern corporate culture, that favors dynamic, social eating experiences.

The last minute solution

Do not underestimate you own building/sister companies: if you or your sister companies or partners have a rooftop or a larger conference space, you can book internally, and while you will still have a lovely evening, you will save hugely and will be able to invest more in food, drinks, presents and entertainement!

We know that Christmas is that time of the year when you want to reward your colleagues and spoil them, but we also know that these last few years have been hard across the board and cuts have hit every budget. The wise manager will be able to create a memorable event with little spending. We are here to help with:

  • Artisanal, fragrant pizza from The Pizza Room.

  • Aromatic, steaming spiced mulled wine and house-baked mince pies to welcome your guests.

  • Premium americano and late-night sweet treats from The Coffee Room.

  • Beautiful, bespoke grazing stations from The Roomies to keep the conversation flowing.

Don't let the November panic dictate your team's hard-earned celebration. Let’s collaborate to build an unforgettable festive experience that fits your space, your budget, and your brand.
